"Chip" is a 1994 palomino stallion born and raised in J&R's program. His sire, Skippity Lark, was an integral part of our breeding program in its initial stages. His dam, Skippa Kit, also contributed largely to J&R's quality prospects up until her death. Chip is a very versatile, talented individual. He has successfully competed in the cutting, working cow horse, and roping arenas. His agility, athleticism, and trainable mentality is all readily passed on to his offspring. However, one of Chip's most noticable traits comes from the derivation of his nickname. It was very brisk the March morning he was born, and consequently his ears contracted frost-bite. Chip has been left with nearly half of his ears missing, giving him an almost soft and welcoming expression.
